The FIRST Robotics Organization believes young people should be inspired and engaged in mentor-based programs that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership. With this in mind, TALON 540 developed a campaign this year to respect our environment. We believe as we reach out to students in elementary, middle and high schools to foster teams, we hope to also engage students to become respectful of their environment.

In today's society, more citizens are beginning to realize that adults and youth need to become aware of making our world environmentally friendly. The TALON goal this year is to start with our team sharing with others in hopes to affect the world one step at a time.

This year our first step is to campaign inside our school the TALON TOP TEN TIPS TO RESPECT THE ENVIRONMENT.
Our campaign consists of making students aware of some of the items students and educators can do such in their everyday life. We have created posters, brochures and media engagements to spread the word to others. In addition, we will have several drives such as recycling tennis shoes and cell phones to engage others within the school.

The second step will be to make younger students aware of items that can do at their age as we visit the schools.

We have created brochures and posters for elementary, middle and high schools to spread the words to others with the hope of joining together to create a better world.
